F & M Bank,  has an opening for a career minded individual with accounting, loan underwriting or corporate credit experience interested in starting or continuing their career in Commercial Lending.

As an F & M Bank Credit Analyst / Portfolio Manager you will work with the commercial lending team to gather and analyze credit information on current and potential borrowers. Responsibilities to help to determining the advisability of granting credit to a businesses, assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Assists loan officers in performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of financing requests within framework of Bank’s lending policies, credit culture and current economic and industry trends.

Assists loan officers in gathering data from customers, internal and outside sources; prepares spreadsheets and analyzes financial information including financial statements and tax returns using the Moody’s Analytics software; contacts customers for additional information, clarification of data and additional questions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university; and 5 years or more related experience and/or training. Work related experience should consist of a financial analyzing or lending background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
